Alpinestars is a company founded by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo (TV), in the Veneto region. It started out as a maker of hiking boots and soon became a leader in motocross boots. Today Alpinestars is one of the leading manufacturers of riding gear, from gloves and jackets to boots.
Founded in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo (TV), in the Veneto region, the company began by making hiking boots and ski boots, but soon started producing boots primarily for motocross racing. In 1990 the company branched out into every type of protective and technical clothing, from gloves and jackets to motorcycle leather suits. The company is now run by Sante's son, Gabriele Mazzarolo. Alpinestars is now a global brand that develops technical products for MotoGP racing, such as leather suits, boots, gloves and protectors worn by World Champions like Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner, Ben Spies and Nicky Hayden.
It has also developed a line of sportswear.
