The numerous studies made in the Shoei wind tunnel allowed to reach extraordinary levels of aerodynamics and performance, which is also characterized by the particular jagged shape of the helmet. Unlike its predecessor, Wfx-Wr adopts a new internal shock-absorbing mechanism M.E.D.S (Motion Energy Distribution System), an advanced multi-density inner shell system that reduces rotational forces. The ventilation system of the helmet is made by nothing less than 16 air intakes between intakes and extractors, furthermore the inner shell is completely grooved, to ensure air to pass throughout all areas of the helmet. Outer shell made of AIM + fibers mix (Shoei patented) made of organic, multi-composite and high-performance fibers that guarantee optimum impact resistance and absorption. Also this motorcycle helmet, like most shoei helmets, is equipped with emergency extraction cheek pads system.
